Luana Asiata

Luana is an award winning artist, originally from New Zealand with a background in fine arts and design. She works primarily in a semi abstract expressionist style, she employs gestural brushstrokes, utilising oils and acrylics to explore her connection to nature and plants. Her mother was a keen gardener and since her passing, Luana has found the outdoors a constant source of comfort and inspiration.

She captures the dualities of life—growth and decay, strength and fragility in her work shown in the delicate line work, sporadic forms and layered brushwork that suggests waves of emotion.
